\u2018Kingdom\u2019 is from two words \u2018king\u2019<\/em> and \u2018dominion\u2019<\/em>. It means the \u2018influence or rule of a king\u2019; and involves three things namely: a king\u2019s royalty<\/u>, rule<\/u> and realm<\/u>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Royalty<\/u> is a status or position<\/em> issue and has to do with the person <\/em>of the king; rule <\/u>is a lifestyle<\/em> issue and pertains to the principles<\/em> of the king; and a king\u2019s realm <\/u>is an arrangement <\/em>in which he lives, and reflects his performance<\/em> or competences.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So, a \u2018kingdom\u2019 involves a king\u2019s person,<\/u> principles<\/u> and performance<\/u>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kingdom awareness<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u2018Kingdom\u2019 was introduced<\/em> on earth by God, the King of Heaven, when He commanded against the darkness and chaos of Satan\u2019s presence<\/em>, \u201clet there be light\u201d \u2013 Gen. 1:2-3. Of course, these Words of God is Jesus Christ, the Carrier of His kingdom-light \u2013 2 Cor. 4:6-7; Jn. 1:1, 4, 14.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And so the concept of \u2018kingdom\u2019 on earth originated <\/em>with our first parents \u2013 Genesis 1:26, – \u201cAnd God said, let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion <\/u>over\u2026all the earth\u2026\u201d.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

God\u2019s eternal intent<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

These words carry the intent of God for mankind till date – to have dominion or kingdom on earth on His behalf and in His interest<\/em>. Yes, God intends for you to have a position<\/strong> of royalty,<\/u> a lifestyle <\/strong>of having His rule <\/u>over you, and an arrangement <\/strong>that ushers in His realm<\/u>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Note the order, you get the royal position<\/em> or status first; but you should move on to the royal lifestyle<\/em>, and finally end up with God\u2019s royal arrangement<\/em>. Many believers just stay with the first one i.e. having the status of royalty<\/em>, but it is changing. Amen!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Knowledge or light first<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

So my friend, in the beginning<\/em>, God exposed<\/em> mankind to His royalty, rule and realm<\/u> (i.e. kingdom) for us to gain an awareness of it, and work with Him to fully realize it on earth, as in Heaven.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Please understand that God did not impose His kingdom on our first parents. He only exposed them to it, for them to know <\/em>it and make a choice for it. Even now, there is a kingdom-glory that God has for you, but it starts with having the knowledge or light<\/em> of it \u2013 Hab. 2:14,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cFor the earth will be filled with the knowledge<\/em> of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Yes, it is because of knowing God\u2019s kingdom-glory that Jesus Christ came, and that you are at this website today \u2013 2 Cor. 4:6-7.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Choose the kingdom system<\/strong><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

So, in Eden, He gave mankind the choice between alternative lifestyles. These are kingdom or dominion living,<\/em> symbolized by the Tree of Life; and religious living,<\/em> symbolized by the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Religion<\/em> is a mixture of good and evil, hot and cold, truth and falsehood. It has always appealed to people who are trying to live for God \u2013 Matt. 16:23. Religious living<\/em> therefore, is man\u2019s way of living to please God that is based on half truth.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Much as it seems good, appears wise, and looks a smart-and-justifiable way to mankind, religion<\/em> as a way of life does not please God. It has evil lurking behind its good, making it half good and half bad. On the other hand, kingdom living<\/em> refers to God\u2019s original ways of going about things on earth, thus bringing about His rule here.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Since man\u2019s choice of religion, God has always been calling mankind to come out of it, for the kingdom way of living. He first demonstrated this call by rejecting Adam\u2019s fig-leafy-clothing for His Animal skin.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The religion-trap <\/strong><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mankind, in times past, have therefore been trapped in Adam\u2019s choice, to practice religious living<\/em> from the fall of man. This went on until God graciously re-introduced kingdom living<\/em>, in an enhanced way<\/em> through our Lord Jesus Christ \u2013 Is. 9:6-7; Lk. 4:43.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Therefore religious living<\/em> is not man\u2019s original way of life. It is an \u2018imposition\u2019 on mankind. The Kingdom of God is the eternal system that humans knew in the eternal past before we were created and later saddled with religion through sin \u2013 Ps. 90:1; Eph. 1:3.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So, through the Lord Jesus, God is asking you to change your mind (repent) about following your religious ways<\/em> and embrace kingdom living<\/em> practically\u2013 Matt. 4:17, \u201cFrom that time Jesus began to preach and to say, repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.\u201d<\/p>\n
