The word \u2018millennium\u2019 has a Latin origin and means a thousand years. It is one of the highpoints of the Kingdom-future that you should look out for.<\/p>\n
During this time, our Lord Jesus will literally take over the ruler-ship of this earth with all His believers \u2013 Dan. 2:44,<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd in the days of these kings the God of Heaven will set up a Kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the Kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever\u201d<\/p>\n
Again the Prophet Daniel prophesied:
\u201cBut the saints of the Most High shall receive the Kingdom, and possess the Kingdom forever, even forever and ever.\u201d \u2013 Dan. 7:18. Wow!<\/p>\n
Moreover, the Holy Spirit inspired these words to the Prophet: \u201cThen the Kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the Kingdom under the whole Heaven shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High.<\/p>\n
His Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.\u201d \u2013 Dan. 7:27. Furthermore, in the New Testament, we read: \u201cAnd I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them.<\/p>\n
Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the Word of God, who had not worshipped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.\u201d \u2013 Rev.20: 4.<\/p>\n
1. It is the thousand-year period between the second coming of Jesus and the New Heaven and earth.<\/p>\n
2. It will be a literal rule of Jesus as intended by God for mankind \u2013 1 Cor. 15:24.<\/p>\n
3. Jerusalem will be the capital of the Millennium Kingdom \u2013 Is. 2:2-4<\/p>\n
4. Satan would be bound and nonfunctional \u2013 Rev. 20:1-10.<\/p>\n
5. King David will rule over all Israel \u2013 Jer. 30:9; Eze. 34:24.<\/p>\n
6. The Apostles of Jesus will rule most likely over a tribe each \u2013 Lk. 22:30; Matt. 19:28.<\/p>\n
7. All believers will rule with Jesus depending on how they rule in life now \u2013 Rev. 20:6; 2 Tim. 2:12.<\/p>\n
8. The future Temple in Jerusalem will be the world\u2019s number one building \u2013 Eze. 43:7.<\/p>\n
9. There will be love and righteousness \u2013 Is. 9:6-7; 11:5.<\/p>\n
10. Waste places will be restored to productivity \u2013 Is. 32:16-18.<\/p>\n
11. There will be material blessings \u2013 Is. 29:17.<\/p>\n
12. Deserts will blossom again, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away \u2013 Is. 35:1-10.<\/p>\n
13. There will be great highways and infrastructure \u2013 Is. 19:23-25; 11:16.<\/p>\n
14. All nations will send representatives to Jerusalem in honour of Jesus \u2013 Zech. 14:16-21.<\/p>\n
15. Planetary lights will increase but not hurtful \u2013 Is. 30:26; 60:18-22.<\/p>\n
16. There will be peace and prosperity \u2013 Is. 2:2-4; 9:6-7.<\/p>\n
17. There will be normal increase of mankind \u2013 Jer. 30:19.<\/p>\n
18. Animal\u2019s nature will be changed as before the fall \u2013 Is. 11:6-8; Rom. 8:18-23.<\/p>\n
19. The glory of God will be manifest \u2013 Is. 4:4-6.<\/p>\n
20. It will be a time of the full expression and acknowledgement of Jesus\u2019 exaltation \u2013 Phil. 2:9-11.<\/p>\n
The end of this thousand-year physical rule of Jesus on earth is described in 1 Cor. 15:23b-28,<\/p>\n
\u201c…Then cometh the end when He shall have delivered up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign, till He hath put all enemies under His feet….and when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.\u201d<\/p>\n
1. The consummation of God\u2019s plan for all the ages \u2013 Eph. 1:9-10,
\u201cThat in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in Heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him\u201d<\/p>\n
2. The time Satan is cast into the lake of fire after his postmillennial final effort at deceiving the nations – Rev. 20:7-10,<\/p>\n
\u201c…And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.\u201d \u2013 vs. 10<\/p>\n
3. The end of the millennium represents the time of the second resurrection and judgment of unbelievers \u2013 Rev. 20:11-13,<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it…and I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God…and they were judged every man according to their works.\u201d<\/p>\n
4. The end of the millennium is also the time of the second death i.e. the casting of Death and Hades (where unbelievers were before the second resurrection) into the lake of fire – Rev. 20:14,<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd death and hell (hades) were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.\u201d Unlike hades, the Lake of fire or Final hell is a place of unending punishment
for the total personality of man \u2013 spirit, soul, body; not just a part of man.<\/p>\n
This is how dangerous the Lake of fire is. It\u2019s a place of comprehensive punishment. But, you can avoid it be recognizing and receiving Jesus as Saviour and Lord now.<\/p>\n
